- SSSCE Applicants
Applicants must have credit passes (A-D) in SIX (6) subjects comprising THREE (3) CORE SUBJECTS in English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science and THREE (3) SCIENCE ELECTIVES in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics or a SUBJECT relevant to the study area.
- WASSCE Applicants
Applicants must have credit passes (A1-D7) in SIX (6) subjects comprising THREE (3) CORE SUBJECTS in English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science and credit passes in THREE (3) SCIENCE ELECTIVES in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics or a SUBJECT relevant to the study area.
- City and Guilds and NVTI Applicants
Candidates must have a minimum of City and Guilds Level Il or NVTI Level II and Credit Passes (A1-D7 or A-D) in the THREE (3) CORE WASSCE/SSSCE SUBJECTS (i.e.., English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science).
- UMaT Certificate/Equivalent Applicants
Applicants must have completed the one-year Certificate programme in Minerals Technology with PASS and have passes (A1-D7 or A-D) in THREE (3) CORE WASSCE/SSSCE SUBJECTS (i.e., English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science)
- International Applicants
Qualifications acceptable for consideration for admission include;
International Baccalaureate (I.B.), IGCSE, GCSE, American Grade 13 Examinations, and other external qualifications are equivalent to the WASSCE/SSSCE and the GCE (O and A levels).
International students whose first language is not English must have English proficiency from a recognised institution before they can register for the programme. Their certificates shall be certified by the NAB.
Note that an applicant with a Certificate in Minerals Technology from the University, who meets any of the requirements of 6.1, will have to do a one (1) year top-up for the diploma programme.
