Master’s Degree (MSc) in Mining Engineering
The entry requirements for the MSc degree in Mining Engineering in any chosen option are:
- Applicants for the MSc programme in Mining Engineering must have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree Second Class (upper division) in Mining Engineering or a Postgraduate Diploma in Mining Engineering with a CWA not less than 70.00 from a recognised University.
- Applicants holding the Diploma in Mining Engineering from KNUST School of Mines, Tarkwa, with at least 5 years working experience in mining and also obtained certificate of competency (blasting) and first aid certificates would be eligible.
- International applicants must in addition have evidence of proficiency in English language.
Master of Philosophy Degree (MPhil) in Mining Engineering
The entry requirements for the MPhil degree in Mining Engineering in any chosen option are:
- Applicants for the MPhil programme in Mining Engineering must have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree Second Class (Upper division) or Postgraduate Diploma in Mining Engineering with a CWA not less than 75.00 from a recognised University.
- International applicants must in addition have evidence of proficiency in English language.
As an additional requirement, applicants for an MPhil degree may first contact the Head of Department or a potential supervisor in the Department to discuss their proposals before applying. Applicants must submit MPhil research proposals in addition to the required documents during the application stage.
