The Mining Engineering Department welcomes you to the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa. The Department was established to train quality human resources to meet the challenges of the mining engineering profession in Ghana and globally.

The Department of Mining Engineering currently offers a four-year degree programme leading to the award of BSc Degree in Mining Engineering. The programme aims at producing graduates capable of exploiting mineral deposits by surface and underground mining techniques and to handle associated environmental issues.
